Trial to map vulnerabilities in the supply chain of chicken tikka masala

Chicken-Tikka-Masala

Food supply chain safety and security are at risk from environmental issues such as extreme weather events and disease outbreaks.

This risk is increasingly exacerbated by climate change and biodiversity loss and has resulted in food shortages and contributed to food price inflation, leading to heightened food security issues.

Cranfield University are partnering with Bidfood to trial mapping vulnerabilities in a supply chain of making a single product of chicken tikka masala. The aim of this research is to understand the challenges and benefits in a wider risk review. The research could then help improve future resilience to environmental changes.
