Helping home cooks learn food safety

People can lack easy access to guidance on effective food storage, safe preparation, and proper cooking techniques.

This FSRN project aims to bridge this gap by using behavioural science to create an accessible, engaging platform that provides households with expert-informed, easy-to-understand guidance directly relevant to their needs.

The Food Safety at Home Platform project is led by the University of Birmingham and brings together LABS Innovation Limited and Birmingham City Council.

By directly addressing the questions and needs of home cooks, this platform will provide practical, accessible information that builds essential food safety skills and fosters healthier kitchen habits.
