Despite the significant scientific and economic opportunities and challenges posed by biofilms, the absence of regulatory frameworks, standardised protocols and guidelines is hindering advances in biofilm control technologies.
In response, the Biofilm Alliance initiative, NBIC and FSRN, are organising a half-day workshop that will bring together food industry professionals, microbiologists and regulatory experts to discuss current challenges and needs, examine regulatory hurdles, and
identify gaps in existing methodologies – all to support more agile and effective regulations.
